OUR INITIATIVES
Building Future Leaders Through Diverse and Meaningful Initiatives
Our initiatives focus on equipping Somali youth with essential skills, fostering leadership, and promoting community engagement. Through targeted programs in education, mentorship, and professional development, we aim to cultivate a new generation of empowered and capable leaders ready to drive positive change in their communities.
We offer a range of activities including leadership training, community service projects, educational support, and youth mentorship programs. These initiatives are designed to address the unique challenges faced by Somali youth, providing them with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed and make impactful contributions to society..
Civic Engagement
A nationally recognized civic forum connecting young people, communities, and public institutions through inclusive dialogue on governance, peace, accountability, and public service delivery.
Capacity Building
A multi-month fellowship equipping young Somalis with practical ICT, communication, entrepreneurship, and employability skills to improve their job readiness.
Peacebuilding
A youth-led peacebuilding initiative that uses forums and community dialogue to help young Somalis participate actively in conflict resolution and social cohesion.
Entrepreneurship
An annual startup competition and incubation program providing young entrepreneurs with business training, mentorship, and opportunities to turn ideas into viable enterprises.
Climate Action
A partnership with Green Arlaadi engaging young people in climate awareness, disaster preparedness, environmental protection, and local action against floods and droughts.
Women in Technology
A digital-skills and mentorship initiative helping young Somali women build confidence, access technology careers, and develop their own tech projects.
Inclusive Peacebuilding
A UN Peacebuilding Fund-supported project strengthening inclusive local peace structures, youth civic engagement, and community-designed peace action in conflict-prone areas.
Peace and Resilience
A GCERF-funded initiative strengthening peace infrastructure, youth livelihoods, reconciliation, and resilience against violent extremism in South West State.
Vocational Training
